Last week we read fictional stories with engaging characters and discussed what made the characters likable. For writing, students worked on completing stories with a beginning, middle and end. Students completed Out & About reflections from Gales Creek Campground. In the afternoons, they practiced a song that they will be singing at Bridging. On Thursday, we went to Gales Creek Campground to do more stream studies, nature games and mapping activities.
Second graders worked on foundations of multiplication. Second graders can complete any homework through module 6, lesson 5. First graders compared the value of two-digit numbers using the language greater than, less than and equal to. First graders can complete all homework through module 4, lesson 8.

- Talent Show: We will have a Level 1 talent show that will take place during the afternoon on June 15th. Because of COVID, we are not allowed to have a large gathering for this event. It will be for Level 1 students only with no guests. All Level 1 students are welcome to perform, but performing is optional. We've asked that there be no weapons or dangerous stunts, and performances should be school appropriate. Ideas for performances are tumbling, playing an instrument, dancing, singing, reciting poetry, performing magic tricks, etc. Performances should be no more than 3 minutes long. Students can bring props from home. We can provide backup music if students let us know the name of their song by Monday, June 6th.
