FEBRUARY 14, 2022 - Happy Valentine's Day!
CLASSROOM NEWS: Last week we continued to read legends and folk tales explaining the sun, moon and stars. Students worked on writing their own folktales and legends. We also read books about kindness in anticipation of Valentine's Day and Kindness Week. First graders have been using and comparing different strategies for subtracting a single digit from a teen number. First graders can complete any pages in their math workbooks up to Module 2, Lesson 22. Second graders worked on representing 1, 10, or 100 more or less than a number. Second graders can complete any incomplete pages in their math workbook up to Module 3 Lesson 21. (We are reviewing for an end-of-module assessment.)
SPIRIT DAY: This Friday, February 18th, we will celebrate Spirit Day by dressing from a past decade (50s, 60s, 70s, etc.). This is just for fun and is optional!
